The COPE project aims to build resilience and coping skills among adult people. It also aims to support the development of future-oriented learning centres that work together to motivate and empower people of all ages to learn the key competences needed to be resilient and adaptive in the face of change and uncertainty.
COPE also focuses on inclusion. Developing resilience is prevention of stress and mental and physical health problems that can lead to inability to participate fully in social and economic life. The project is aimed at all people, but in particular at those who face barriers to participating in training that would support and help them because of socio-economic difficulties, disability or because they live in remote areas.
Within the project we will create 3 products:
- TEACH RESILIENCE (for trainers, coaches, teachers, facilitators). A guide for trainers on the basics of teaching resilience and adaptability to adults.
- PRACTICE RESILIENCE (for people who want to improve their resilience). A practical set of resilience-building activities that can be implemented online and face-to-face by adult educators and learners themselves. All materials are available in English, Icelandic, Bulgarian and Spanish languages. The English and Icelandic versions you can download below, and the Bulgarian and Spanish materials are in the corresponding language sections of this website.
- EMPOWER RESILIENCE (for learning centres). A kit to empower local learning centers to create and promote resilience training and build a network of resilience learning centers.
